Drink Local Event feat. MVP Cocktail Competition!
Do you got the bartending skills to pay the bills? Do people tell you that you make incredible cocktails? Are you looking for fame beyond your wildest dreams?
Come to our next Drink Local event @ MVPs in Sycamore!
WHEN: Thursday, Jan 16th. Social from 5-6pm. Cocktail competition from 6-8pm.
WHAT: We are looking for 8 competitors to create a unique, whiskey-based cocktail. We may increase this to 10 people if there is interest. We are looking for 40 people to serve as judges for the competition.
Competitors will make their cocktails that night at MVPs. All ingredients (whiskey, syrups, garnishes, etc) will be provided by MVPs, unless you are using something super unusual. You will need to make up one "model" cocktail, so judges can score your presentation skills along with enough 1oz samples for each judge. Competitors, when you sign up you will need to indicate the name of your cocktail and describe what is in it (so MVPs can make sure they have all the ingredients).
The winning cocktail will be put on MVP's menu for a month or two along with YOUR name. 🍸🍹
HOW MUCH: Judges pay $20. Competitors $10. Both tickets include a tasty Taco appetizer in addition to the cocktails.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: MVPs will be offering flights of Old Forester for $10, which will include the highly sought after 1924 in the whiskey row series.
